Ethereum $15,000 Price Prediction Gains Traction as Wallets Hit 207M — Does the Demand Add Up?
- ETH-USD
- SAN-USD
-
Ethereum has reached a record 207.17 million non-empty wallets.
-
Crypto Patel says a sustained break above $4,892 could open a longer-term path toward $10,000–$15,000.
-
At a reference price of approximately $2,715, reaching $15,000 would require roughly 453% upside.
Ethereum has reached a record 207.17 million wallets holding a non-zero balance just as one analyst revives a long-term $15,000 ETH price target.
Are 207 Million Ethereum Wallets Actually Active?
Etherscan data shows Ethereum recorded approximately 693,424 daily active addresses on Sept. 18, the day Santiment reported the record 207.17 million non-empty wallet total.
However, the gap illustrates why a record holder count does not mean hundreds of millions of wallets are currently generating transactions.
Daily active addresses fell to around 565,854 by Sept. 20, around 6.2% below the 603,224 recorded one year earlier.
Meanwhile, the number of addresses that have ever interacted with Ethereum continues to compound over time.
Etherscan data puts the cumulative number of unique addresses above 437 million.
The 207.17 million milestone shows how Ethereum ownership remains widely distributed across addresses.
Even a wallet holding a tiny residual ETH balance still counts toward the total.
Does 40 Million Staked ETH Strengthen the Case?
Ethereum’s staking numbers provide a stronger indication of long-term capital commitment.
More than 40 million ETH is now staked, according to recent network data, representing roughly one-third of Ethereum’s approximately 120.7 million ETH supply.
Staking removes ETH from the immediately available spot-market supply and requires capital to be committed to securing the network.
However, it still does not represent 40 million ETH of new demand.
Much of that ETH could have been acquired months or years earlier, before eventually being deposited into staking contracts.
Ethereum ETFs Just Flipped Back to Inflows
Institutional demand presents an equally mixed picture for Ethereum’s price.
US spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $143.7 million on Sept. 18, ending three consecutive sessions of withdrawals.
BlackRock’s ETHA accounted for $114.3 million of the day’s inflows, while Fidelity’s FETH added another $26.2 million.
-
$142.3 million of outflows on Sept. 15.
-
$224.1 million on Sept. 16.
-
$39.3 million on Sept. 17.
That amounts to roughly $405.7 million leaving Ethereum ETFs over three sessions before Friday’s $143.7 million recovery.
So while institutional flows improved sharply, a single positive session did not erase the prior withdrawals.
