Around $234,000 in assets was stolen from a Balancer V1 BPool in an attack that exploited a calculation error, SlowMist reported. The attacker repeatedly used public swaps to drain the pool’s WBTC balance to near zero, then manipulated the `joinswapPoolAmountOut` function so the required WBTC input was calculated at roughly one satoshi. The attacker then deposited that tiny amount of WBTC, minted 4,408.8 BPT, and withdrew DPI, USDC, WETH and WBTC from the pool. Ant Group CEO and Alipay chairman Han Xinyi has identified stablecoin payments as one of four major models in the global AI payments market, PA News reported, citing Caixin. Han said crypto companies including Circle (CRCL) and Coinbase (COIN) are using stablecoins and wallets to make cryptocurrencies a payment method for machine-to-machine automated payments. Weekly net inflows into cryptocurrency funds reached $3.2 billion as of late August, the largest since October 2025, according to Bank of America’s weekly flow report. The figure marked a sharp reversal from net outflows of $392 million a week earlier. South Korean prosecutors have sought a 20-year prison term for a man surnamed Park, known as "Jonber Kim," who was indicted on fraud charges tied to a 340 billion won ($247 million) scheme, Digital Asset reported exclusively. American Bitcoin (ABTC), a Bitcoin mining company tied to U.S. President Donald Trump’s family, is producing 11 to 13 BTC a day with a gross margin of about 49%, Eric Trump said on the Wolf Financial podcast. South Korean exchange Korbit announced it will end its Web3 wallet service at 3:00 a.m. UTC on Dec. 31. From that point, all asset transfers through the Web3 wallet, including withdrawals and transfers, will no longer be available, and users were urged to move their holdings beforehand to their Korbit exchange accounts or external wallets. Four people have been referred to prosecutors without detention for allegedly illegally exporting 1,024 used cars worth 50.7 billion won to Russia and Belarus, both subject to international sanctions, and illegally receiving 279.6 billion won in cryptocurrency as export payments, Newsis reported.
