Crypto ETF News: Bitcoin ETFs Lost $643 Million in a Day and Ethereum ETFs Have Bled for 11 Straight Days. How Much of October’s Inflows Are Gone?

Bitcoin ETFs just suffered their worst single day since late June, and Ethereum ETFs have now bled red for 11 straight sessions. The question investors are asking is whether October’s gains are already gone and what that means for the…

U.S. spotBitcoin(CRYPTO:BTC) ETFs posted a staggering $643.2 million loss No funds saw inflows that day, marking a dramatic end to four consecutive days of inflows. This outflow dropped the total net assets of Bitcoin ETFs to $98.14 billion, the first time it closed below $100 billion this month

Ethereum(CRYPTO:ETH) ETFs didn’t fare any better, with an additional outflow of $155.7 million, marking their 11th straight day of losses. Throughout October, Bitcoin ETFs fluctuated between large inflow and outflow days, but recent activity raises questions about how much of October’s capital has already exited the market.

iShares Bitcoin Trust Led the $643 Million Exit

TheiShares Bitcoin Trust ETF(NASDAQ:IBIT), BlackRock’s flagship Bitcoin fund, accounted for the largest outflow, losing $233.7 million on October 30. Meanwhile, theFidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund(CBOE:FBTC) lost $201 million, and theARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF(CBOE:ARKB) lost $129.5 million. The remaining $79 million in outflows came from Grayscale and Bitwise funds.

When there’s a net outflow, it means investors are selling more shares than they’re buying. This often forces funds to sell or return Bitcoin to their investors, increasing the supply in the market and pushing prices down. IBIT fell 5.1% to $43.36 that day, and Bitcoin now trades at $77,614, reflecting a 7.1% drop for the month.

The October 30 outflow surpassed the $635.5 million that left on October 22, 2026, SoSoValue’s largest single-day outflow since June 25, 2026, making October 30 the worst day for Bitcoin ETFs since late June. Bitcoin ETFs posted a net gain of $111.2 million from October 1 to October 28, but in the last two sessions alone, they saw an outflow of $626.3 million, turning October into a net loss of $515 million.

Weekly flows also took a hit, as the week ending October 30 saw a loss of $202.4 million, a stark contrast to the $304.7 million inflow the week prior.

Ethereum ETFs Lost $1.6 Billion in October and Still Can’t Find Buyers

In October, Ethereum funds struggled throughout the month, withspot Ethereum ETFsshedding $1,606.9 million overall. The week ending October 30 alone saw $431.5 million leave, up from the previous week’s $220.6 million.

TheiShares Ethereum Trust ETF(NASDAQ:ETHA) led the outflows on October 30, with $76.6 million departing. Grayscale’s two Ethereum funds lost a combined $55.6 million, and another smaller fund saw a $19.5 million withdrawal.

On that day, ETHA’s shares fell 4.5% to $50.42, down 16.5% over the past month. Holders suffered losses from both withdrawals and price drops.

Net assets for Ethereum ETFs fell to $13.22 billion from $17.71 billion at the start of October, down nearly $4.49 billion due to outflows and Ethereum’s price decline. Currently, Ethereum trades at $2,256, down 16% this month and 54.4% from its all-time high.

Solana ETFsKept Leaking WhileXRP ETFsStayed Positive

The selling trend extended to smaller cryptocurrencies as well.Solana(CRYPTO:SOL) ETFs lost $10.8 million on October 30, totaling $71.5 million for the week and $143.7 million for the month, leaving them with $1.40 billion in net assets.

In contrast,XRP(CRYPTO:XRP) ETFs showed some resilience, with only a $0.5 million loss on October 30. They finished the week with a gain of $4.3 million and a total increase of $18.8 million for October, with net assets reaching $1.42 billion, now surpassing those of Solana ETFs.

How Much of October Is Gone for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs

For Bitcoin ETFs, all of the inflows from October have vanished, and then some, as two days of selling turned a $111.2 million gain into a $515 million loss. Ethereum ETFs never posted an initial gain, as the funds remained in the red throughout the month and ended October down $1,606.9 million.

The first weekly Bitcoin ETF flow total for November 2026 could say the most about what comes next. These funds brought in $526.6 million on October 19 and $528.4 million on October 21. A November total above the $202.4 million lost that week would make October 30 look like a one-day blip; continued IBIT outflows and an Ethereum streak stuck in the red would keep withdrawals setting the pace into year-end.
