XRP sits 65% below its peak and ETF inflows have stalled, yet a clear path exists to turning a modest position into $100,000 by 2030. The math depends entirely on which price target you believe is realistic.

To accumulate a $100,000 position in XRP (CRYPTO:XRP), you’ll need 10,000 coins if XRP reaches $10, or 50,000 coins if it settles at $2. The number of coins needed decreases as the target price rises, but these targets must remain realistic.
XRP is trading at $1.25, down 15.36% over the past 30 days and 65.61% from its peak of $3.65 in July 2025. In the last 90 days, XRP fell to a low of $0.99 on August 16, 2026, and reached a high of $1.57 on September 22, 2026.
In ourprevious articleon October 29, 2026, we analyzed how much $5,000 in XRP or Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) could grow by 2028.
Understanding the Coin Count for a $100,000 Goal at Different Prices
XRP’s total market value is calculated by multiplying its price by its circulating supply, which stands at 63.35 billion XRP. At $1.25, XRP’s market cap is about $79.41 billion, making it the fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market value.
| XRP Price | Coins Needed for $100K | Cost at $1.25 | XRP Market Value | Rank at That Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $2 | 50,000 | $62,500 | $126.7 billion | Fourth |
| $3.65 | 27,397 | $34,247 | $231.23 billion | Third |
| $5 | 20,000 | $25,000 | $316.76 billion | Second |
| $10 | 10,000 | $12,500 | $633.51 billion | Second |
These rankings assume all other coins maintain their current value. BNB (CRYPTO:BNB) is valued at around $92.91 billion, Tether (CRYPTO:USDT), the largest dollar stablecoin, has a cap of about $179.76 billion, Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) is valued at $275.61 billion, and Bitcoin is valued at a staggering $1.56 trillion. Even at $10, XRP would still lag far behind Bitcoin.
Overall supply pressure makes it harder to reach record prices. Ripple regularly releases new XRP from escrow, a reserve that is unlocked on a set schedule. Consequently, every price increase, such as a climb back to $3.65, requires more capital than the last. XRP’s maximum supply is capped at 100 billion, and at $1.25, its fully diluted valuation—as if every coin were in circulation—is about $125.38 billion.
Ripple’s Bank News and ETF Demand Haven’t Boosted XRP Yet
Since the launch ofspot XRP ETFs, which invest in actual XRP and trade on exchanges, total assets have reached $1.81 billion as of October 30, 2026. However, this number rose by only $14.77 million throughout October, with the largest single-day gain of $8.43 million on October 29, 2026. By month-end, net assets fell to $1.42 billion, the lowest level in October, down from $1.70 billion on October 6.
The ETFs have had mixed performance; they debuted in November 2025, coinciding with XRP’s drop from $2.51 to $2.16 that same month.
On October 27, 2026, Ripple received final U.S. approval to establish a national trust bank, which can hold client assets under federal oversight. This charter could benefit XRP over time, as growth in Ripple USD (CRYPTO:RLUSD), Ripple’sdollar-pegged stablecoin, might draw more transactions to the XRP Ledger. However, this potential boost has not yet been reflected in XRP’s price.
XRP’s Price Is Affected by Market Sentiment, Not Just Ripple News
XRP has historically surged in value during periods of market-wide enthusiasm. It reached $3.92 in January 2018 and hit $3.65 in July 2025, both times during broader bullish market trends.
The cryptofear and greed indexis at 40, indicating market fear, while Bitcoin trades 38.43% below its all-time high. Until sentiment improves, positive news about ETFs or the banking charter may struggle to lift XRP’s price significantly.
Can XRP Turn a $100,000 Investment Into Reality by 2030?
Based on our analysis, a target price of $2 seems achievable by 2030, while $3.65 appears possible, $5 is ambitious, and $10 remains unlikely. For a $100,000 target, acquiring 50,000 XRP at $2 is the most realistic option, while having 10,000 XRP at $10 would require XRP to become the second-largest cryptocurrency in the world.
To reach $2, XRP will likely need to rise above its 200-day average of $1.28 and its 50-day average of $1.39, and surpass the $1.57 high from September 2026. Regaining $2 would signify a return to prices seen in late 2025.
Achieving $3.65 will require a resurgence in ETF inflows and renewed confidence in the broader crypto market. A surge to $5 would necessitate XRP to surpass Ethereum’s market value, while a leap to $10 would place XRP at more than double Ethereum’s current worth.
The key indicator to watch is a monthly close above $2, coupled with ETF inflows exceeding $2 billion. If XRP continues to close below $1.28 while ETF assets decline, even reaching $2 by 2030 could become increasingly doubtful.
