US spot Bitcoin ETFs continued to attract fresh capital on Wednesday, but the pace of inflows slowed as Bitcoin struggled to hold above $80,000.

The funds recorded $232.1 million in net inflows, extending their winning streak to eight consecutive trading sessions. The latest figure was down from $314.4 million on Tuesday and marked the smallest daily inflow since August 18

Despite the slowdown, the eight-day streak has brought roughly $2.8 billion into spot Bitcoin ETFs, pushing cumulative net inflows to $54.6 billion and total net assets to $98.6 billion.

    Bitcoin ETF Demand Remains Positive

Wednesday’s inflow shows that institutional demand remains positive even as Bitcoin’s rally loses some momentum.

The latest streak follows a much stronger weekly performance earlier in August, when US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted approximately $1.92 billion. That surge marked their strongest weekly inflow since October 2025 and helped support Bitcoin’s recovery toward $80,000.

Bitcoin has since struggled to build on that move. BTC briefly climbed above $80,000 on Tuesday before retreating, and was trading around $78,759, down 0.3% over 24 hours at the time of reporting.

The weaker ETF inflow figure could therefore point to some cooling in institutional buying after the sharp rally.

That softer ETF pace comes alongside a broader improvement in Bitcoin demand. CryptoQuant data shows that demand has turned positive across both spot and perpetual futures markets for the first time since Bitcoin’s October 2025 all-time high. CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju said the scale of the recovery remains modest, but a sustained improvement would point to stronger market conditions.

The signal is important because the recent rebound had earlier been more dependent on derivatives activity. A simultaneous improvement in spot and perpetual demand suggests the recovery is becoming broader, although it is still too early to treat the shift as confirmation of a new bull cycle.

XRP ETFs See Biggest Inflow Since January

While Bitcoin ETF demand slowed, XRP investment products recorded a notable jump.

US spot XRP ETFs attracted $28.1 million in net inflows on Wednesday, marking their largest single-day inflow since January 5. Cumulative net inflows have now reached approximately $1.62 billion.

The latest figure adds to a broader recovery in XRP ETF demand. AltcoinBuzz recently reported that XRP ETFs had extended their inflow streak to nine days, with cumulative inflows approaching $1.6 billion.

The stronger XRP flows suggest that institutional demand is spreading beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum, although Bitcoin remains the dominant destination for crypto ETF capital.

Ethereum ETFs Also Extend Winning Streak

US spot Ether ETFs also recorded their eighth consecutive day of inflows on Wednesday.

The funds attracted approximately $192.4 million, keeping Ethereum’s ETF market firmly in positive territory alongside Bitcoin.

The simultaneous inflows into Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP products point to continued demand for regulated crypto investment exposure, even as price momentum becomes less consistent.

    What Happens Next for Bitcoin?

The key question now is whether Bitcoin can reclaim and hold the $80,000 level while ETF demand remains positive.

The current eight-day inflow streak provides a supportive backdrop, but the slowdown from $314.4 million to $232.1 million shows that buying pressure is not moving higher at the same pace.

Market sentiment has nevertheless improved. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index climbed to 82, up from 64 last week and 35 last month, keeping the market firmly in “Extreme Greed” territory.

For BTC, sustained ETF inflows could help support another attempt at $80,000. However, continued weakness below that level could signal that traders are taking profits after the recent rally.

For now, Bitcoin’s ETF market remains firmly positive, but the pace of institutional buying will be an important signal to watch in the sessions ahead.
