Binance.US, the American arm of Binance, has integrated Apple Pay and Google Pay as funding methods for its exchange. U.S. users can now purchase virtual assets with a simple tap using debit or credit cards linked to their digital wallets. Existing ACH transfers and wire transfers remain available, but the addition of mobile payments eliminates transfer waiting times. Binance.US first piloted Google Pay in 2023 and has now expanded it to full availability while adding Apple Pay for the first time. The update also includes a redesigned Market tab and enhanced price alerts. No additional fees are charged beyond standard network fees. The move is seen as a signal that lowers entry barriers for new users and accelerates the convergence of traditional finance and digital assets.

Binance.US, the American subsidiary of Binance, announced on the 24th (local time) that it has integrated Apple Pay and Google Pay as funding methods for its exchange. U.S. users can now purchase virtual assets with a simple tap using debit or credit cards linked to their smartphone digital wallets.
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao emphasized that this move is a step toward making digital asset acquisition “as seamless as buying a morning cup of coffee.” The key point is that users no longer need to go through multiple steps of linking a bank account and waiting for transfers to complete.
Prior to this update, the primary methods for Binance.US users to fund their accounts were limited to ACH bank transfers and wire transfers. Both methods are free of charge and will remain available, but they had the drawback of requiring time for transfers to be finalized. The new mobile payment channels effectively eliminate this waiting period.
Binance.US’s adoption of mobile payments is not an entirely new endeavor. The exchange began supporting Google Pay on a limited basis for debit card deposits back in 2023. This update expands that pilot service into a full Google Pay integration and adds Apple Pay for the first time. Binance.US currently offers trading in more than 190 virtual assets.
This payment expansion was accompanied by other platform improvements. Binance.US redesigned its Market tab and enhanced its price alert functionality. These measures are seen as efforts to improve trading convenience, allowing users to more easily deploy funds into the virtual asset market and monitor market movements.
Coinbase (COIN), the largest virtual asset exchange in the United States, introduced Apple Pay support back in 2022, and several mid-sized virtual asset platforms have also been testing various forms of digital wallet integration. The industry as a whole is continuing a trend toward reducing friction in the cryptocurrency onboarding process.
The rationale behind this movement is straightforward. The fewer steps required between wanting to buy virtual assets and actually holding them, the more likely users are to follow through with a purchase. Connecting everyday payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay to the virtual asset purchasing process can be an important tool for lowering entry barriers for new users.
For existing virtual asset investors, this integration provides an alternative to fund their accounts more quickly. For new users, it lowers entry barriers by allowing them to make their first virtual asset purchase through a familiar and trusted payment interface. Despite Binance.US’s history of sanctions from U.S. regulatory authorities, the exchange continues to expand its service offerings while maintaining compliance requirements.
Binance.US stated that it does not charge additional fees for using Apple Pay or Google Pay. However, standard network fees may apply, and the feature will be rolled out sequentially to all eligible users in the United States. Availability may vary depending on the user’s state of residence and the type of virtual asset being purchased.
This announcement carries significance beyond a simple convenience feature addition. With mobile payments now a daily standard, their adoption by major exchanges is interpreted as a signal of the maturing infrastructure of the virtual asset market. As the boundaries between traditional finance and digital assets continue to blur, analysts suggest this integration could lead to broader institutional and consumer adoption going forward.
