Beldex has raised $8 million in new funding to accelerate the development of privacy-focused blockchain infrastructure for Web3 applications and artificial intelligence, bringing the company’s total capital raised to $36 million. The round was backed by Sigma Capital, NTC, Nxgen, Digital Consensus Fund and EAK Ventures. The financing follows earlier investments from DWF Labs and Block Alpha.
Beldex plans to use the capital exclusively to develop a unified infrastructure layer that allows developers to integrate shielded smart contracts and encrypted AI agent identities while maintaining performance and usability.
The company is positioning privacy as a foundational part of decentralized and AI infrastructure rather than an additional feature layered onto applications after development.
The financing will accelerate Beldex’s research into Fully Homomorphic Encryption and quantum-resistant consensus technologies.
Beldex is also developing an EVM-compatible sidechain intended to process sensitive information while providing strong confidentiality protections.
The company plans to move from foundational research toward broader ecosystem expansion and interoperability.
Near-term initiatives include deployment of the Beldex Extension Wallet and a suite of software development kits intended to make advanced privacy technologies easier for developers to integrate into decentralized applications.
Beldex’s broader goal is to make confidentiality a default capability across transactions, communications and AI-driven operations.
The company believes this becomes increasingly important as AI agents gain greater autonomy and handle larger amounts of potentially sensitive information.
Beldex plans to combine privacy technology with AI execution, communications, browsing identity, payments and other online interactions within its infrastructure.
The new financing will also support expansion of Beldex’s cross-chain capabilities.
The company plans to develop secure bridges connecting its infrastructure with networks including Ethereum, Solana and Base, with the goal of maintaining privacy as assets move across blockchain ecosystems.
Beldex is additionally working on quantum-resistant messaging protocols and refinements to its verifiable random function-based consensus mechanism as it prepares for potential future computational security risks.
The broader Beldex ecosystem already includes BChat for private messaging, BelNet for decentralized routing, Beldex Browser for private web access and BNS, its blockchain-based naming system.
Its network operates using a masternode architecture and Proof-of-Stake consensus, with BDX serving as the ecosystem’s digital currency.
Beldex is also researching technologies including zero-knowledge systems, quantum-safe cryptography, confidential assets and privacy-first EVM infrastructure as it seeks to build a broader privacy layer for decentralized applications and AI systems.
“What stood out to me about Beldex is its long-term conviction. While privacy was often treated as a niche, Beldex spent years building it into the infrastructure itself. AI agents and Web3 applications demand greater privacy today, and we believe Beldex is exceptionally well positioned for the next era of Web3. That conviction is why we chose to lead this round.”
Vineet Budki, Managing Director And CEO At Sigma Capital
“The industry continues to treat privacy as a bolt-on luxury feature added only after the core architecture gets built. With this new $8 million capital raise, we’re finally able to start creating, building the vessel from the ground up to ensure that every byte of data, whether that’s an AI agent’s entire decision tree or a simple message, is encrypted by default before it ever hits the network.”
Afanddy Bin Hushni, Chairman Of Beldex
“Over the past three years, Beldex has evolved from building a functional privacy ecosystem to developing a privacy infrastructure for consumers, developers and AI agents where transactions, communications, and operations are required to be autonomous and private. This additional $8 million gives us the resources to accelerate that vision. As AI becomes more and more autonomous, data exposure will become a fundamental risk. We’re building Beldex to address that challenge at the infrastructure level, combining privacy with AI execution, communication, browing identity, payments, and every online interaction.”
