Bitcoin Price Prediction: What’s Next for BTC?
Bitcoin held near $78,800 early Tuesday after gaining about 24% in August, its strongest monthly advance since November 2024. The recovery has put the $82,000-$85,000 region back in focus, though short-term structure leaves room for another liquidity sweep before buyers attempt a more sustained breakout.
Bitcoin Consolidates Below $82K as Elliott Wave Setup Targets Another High
Bitcoin’s powerful August advance has stalled beneath its recent high, leaving $BTC in a tight consolidation around $78,000. The current structure keeps an extension toward the mid-$80,000s possible, but a temporary move lower could come first as the market works through liquidity accumulated beneath the range.

Bitcoin $BTC Wave 4 Consolidation and $85K Setup. on X
$BTC surged from roughly $64,000 in mid-August to above $80,000 before losing momentum near $81,000-$82,000. Rod interprets the resulting sideways action as a potential Elliott Wave 4 consolidation following the strong third-wave advance.
The immediate battleground sits around $76,000-$77,000, where repeated lows have created a visible liquidity area. A brief break below that zone could flush leveraged long positions without necessarily ending the broader bullish structure. Recovery after such a sweep would keep the potential fifth-wave advance intact.
On the upside, clearing $81,000-$82,000 would provide stronger confirmation that momentum has resumed. The projected extension reaches roughly $83,000-$85,000 before another corrective phase becomes possible.
Failure to reclaim the range after losing $76,000 would weaken that setup and increase the risk of a deeper correction. A larger retracement toward roughly $72,000 is also part of the broader scenario, with that area marked as a potential higher-time-frame bullish retest before another recovery.
$BTC Reclaims Key Support as $82,270 Becomes the Next Breakout Test
Bitcoin’s higher-time-frame structure has also improved after the August rebound reclaimed an important support region in the mid-$70,000s. That recovery shifts attention toward $82,270, a clearly defined resistance level standing between $BTC and a larger move into the $90,000s.

Bitcoin $BTC Monthly Breakout and Support Levels. on X
The latest completed monthly advance recovered strongly from the summer sell-off and returned $BTC above the support zone immediately below its current price. DonAlt described the move as a strong close above resistance, arguing that the reclaimed area now provides support for the bullish position.
Bitcoin still needs to prove it can convert that strength into another breakout. A sustained move above $82,270 would remove the nearest major overhead barrier and could open a path toward the supply zone around the low-to-mid $90,000s.
Beyond that area, approximately $102,974 stands out as the next major resistance level. Reaching it would require $BTC to maintain its reclaimed support and establish a sequence of higher lows rather than immediately surrendering the August recovery.
The broader bullish structure has an important downside reference near $67,400. Losing that level would represent a much more serious deterioration, while holding the mid-$70,000s keeps the near-term focus on whether Bitcoin can turn its $78,000 consolidation into an attack on $82,000 and eventually $85,000.
