Scaramucci pointed to Bessent’s remark at the recently concluded G20 Finance Ministers’ meeting that the “world is awash in debt.”
Bessent added that debt distress can keep companies from “investing in their people and their futures.”

Concerning Macro Developments
The national debt has surpassed $40 trillion, while the deficit has swelled to $1.79 trillion as of this writing, projected to exceed $2 trillion in fiscal 2026.
Scaramucci warned last month that debt could balloon to $55 trillion within the next decade, describing deficit spending as an “unfunded tax liability” that would trigger inflation and borrowing costs.
Notably, Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh said last week that inflation is still running too high, and that the central bank’s focus has shifted from jobs to prices.
Scaramucci’s Bullish Thesis
The financier framed Bitcoin and gold as “part of the answer” to a monetary system under strain from fiscal pressures and eroding purchasing power, which is why he remains bullish on both assets.
Scaramucci has maintained his long-term bullish stance on Bitcoin, adding he would allocate roughly 30% of a new portfolio to Bitcoin, alongside AI, U.S. equities, real estate and gold.
He previously deemed the current cycle shallower than previous ones, predicting a rally late in the fourth quarter of 2026 into early 2027.
