Samsung is pushing another round of app updates through the Galaxy Store, and one of them caught our attention. Gaming Hub is moving to version 8.0.05.8. Meanwhile, Samsung Blockchain Keystore has received a much more detailed update with One UI 9 support, Fold improvements, and several security changes.
Samsung Blockchain Keystore gets the bigger update
While the Gaming Hub only gets a small update to v.8.0.05.8 showing a download size of around 25.93MB, the Samsung Blockchain Keystore update is much more interesting. Samsung tells us what’s changing. First, the app is getting UI changes for One UI 8.5 and One UI 9.0. This update helps it better match Samsung’s latest software design.
Samsung has also upgraded its target SDK to API levels 36 and 37. In simpler terms, those correspond to Android 16 and Android 17, respectively. So the app is being prepared for Samsung’s current and upcoming Android software. Android 17 officially uses API level 37. Because of this, it might be a sign that the official One UI 9 stable update is coming soon for the Galaxy S26 series.

There’s also a particularly nice improvement for foldable users: landscape mode support on the main display of Galaxy Fold devices. That’s a small line in the changelog. However, it should make Blockchain Keystore much less awkward to use on the large inner screen when you’re holding your Fold sideways.
Samsung Blockchain Keystore is designed to securely generate and manage private blockchain keys inside a Trusted Execution Environment. This is protected by Samsung Knox, keeping sensitive keys isolated from the regular Android environment.
Security fixes are included too
The update also refreshes several libraries to address CVEs, with Samsung specifically referencing P260312-02790 in the changelog. There are additional major and minor fixes based on issues reported through Samsung’s internal systems and DiagMon. Furthermore, there is what Samsung calls a Galaxy Apps API enhancement for C OS. Samsung doesn’t explain exactly what that last change means, so we’ll leave the interpretation to the company rather than guessing.
Samsung’s Gaming Hub appears to be getting another round of polish. In contrast, Blockchain Keystore is doing the more important behind-the-scenes work of preparing for One UI 9, Android 17, foldable displays, and newer security requirements. If you use either app, it’s worth checking Galaxy Store > Menu > Updates to see whether the new versions have reached your device.
