Key Insights:
- The price of Bitcoin faces a critical week as the Federal Reserve’s September rate-related decision and Senate CLARITY Act vote take center stage.
- Markets price in an 85%-90% chance of a 25-basis-point Fed hike, while investors await Chair Kevin Warsh’s guidance on future policy.
- The CLARITY Act cloture vote on Tuesday could advance a major U.S. crypto market-structure framework, adding another potential catalyst for Bitcoin and digital assets.
Price of Bitcoin enters a pivotal week as policymakers address key issues. The Federal Reserve will announce its policy decision on Sept. 15, 2026, and the Senate will hold a cloture vote on the CLARITY Act at 2:15 p.m. ET that day.
Both events can impact Bitcoin price, as investors are expecting a 25-basis-point increase from the Federal Reserve (odds of 88%). They are also considering the regulatory developments regarding crypto.
The CLARITY Act’s new iteration preserves the controversial sections concerning digital-asset ethics and stablecoin yields. It suggests that policymakers are still at odds over the issue.
Price of Bitcoin Eyes Fed Decision
Recent datafrom the U.S. have pressured the bulls as they show that the economy is still growing at a decent pace. Payrolls increased by as much as +162,000 in August, and the rate of inflation remains close to the Federal Reserve’s upper bound.
As a result, the yield of the 10-year Treasury climbed to near 4.8%, while futures now reflect an 88% chance of the rate hike at the Sept. 15 Fed meeting.
Traders will watch Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s post-meeting comments for clues about future policy; another rate hike or a more hawkish stance could further pressure Bitcoin price.
Bitcoin Faces CLARITY Act Vote
Crypto market regulation is also in focus. Senate Republicans releaseda final CLARITY Act text. The 635-page update expanded DeFi and credit-union rules but kept disputed ethics and stablecoin sections.

The Senate will vote on a motion to proceed at 2:15 p.m. ET on Sept. 15. Under Senate rules, invoking cloture requires 60 votes.
A successful vote on cloture would allow debate on the crypto bill. A failure would effectively stall it. Traders note that the CLARITY outcome could sway sentiment.
Passing the procedural hurdle might boost confidence, whereas a loss would leave regulatory questions unresolved and likely weigh on the price of Bitcoin.
Macro Outlook for the Price of Bitcoin
Analysts say themacro picture is mixed for Bitcoin. Bitcoin’s correlation with gold is approximately +0.50, close to a 6-year high. Conversely, its correlation with the Nasdaq 100 is near –0.30.
Bitcoin has risen by nearly 1.2% in the last 24 hours and was trading near $77,800 on Monday. But it still hasn’t been able to hold above $78,000 and has consistently failed to return to $80,000.

BTC was trading at $77,820 at the time of writing, with intraday price movements towards $76,500, per TradingView. Bitcoin is 3% lower in the last 7 days.
The current weakness came on the heels of a reversion from the $82,000 range earlier this month, during which sellers took over. QCP Capital sees $80,000 to $82,000 as the main resistance zone, with support around $77,000 to $78,000.
