+521% Increase on XRP Ledger: Payment Volumes Grow at Enormous Rate
Payment volume on the $XRP Ledger has significantly increased; according to the most recent network data, the metric has increased by 521.1%. Although the data does not show consistent growth throughout the network, the increase coincides with a wider improvement in a number ofactivity indicators.
$XRP’s transaction rally
Payment volume is currently one of the best-performing XRPL metrics in the most recent snapshot, at about 488.4 million $XRP. Such an increase suggests that, compared to the comparison period, significantly more $XRP value is being transferred through payment transactions. The difference between the volume of payments and the actual number of payments is crucial.

The number of payment transactions is currently at about 388,900, down 10.5 percent, despite a 521% increase in payment volume. This divergence implies a significant increase in the average size of payments. To put it another way, the network is not necessarily handling a significant increase in individual payments.
Rather, a lot more value is being transferred through the payments that are occurring. The idea that XRPL activity has increased is supported by other indicators. Whilenewly created accountsincreased by 5.3% to approximately 1,800, active users increased by 179.7% to approximately 485,700. $XRP fees increased by 16.1% due to transaction fees.
Activity on bullish levels
Nonetheless, the number of active accounts decreased by 0.7% to 11,300, further highlighting the inconsistent nature of the network data. The spike occurs during a time when $XRP is particularly unstable. Recently, $XRP increased from roughly $1.00 to $1.70 before falling back to $1.41.
The move resulted in a significantincrease in trading volume. In theory, $XRP has yet to see a significant structural shift. While shorter moving averages remain significantly lower around $1.12–$1.21, the token stays above the long-term moving average near $1.35. Thus, holding the $1.35 area would aid in maintaining the breakout structure.
However, after becoming significantly overbought, momentum has cooled. The RSI briefly moved above 80 before declining toward 70.5. Although the increase in payment volume of 521% is noteworthy, it should not be interpreted as a six-fold increase in XRPL usage.
The declining number of transactions indicates that a significant portion of the growth is due to larger transfers rather than simply more transfers.
