Kylie Jenner’s X account was reportedly compromised to promote a meme coin on Solana(SOL), which peaked near $1.19 million before falling about 68%.

Kylie Jenner Hack
Jenner’s account, followed by 39.5 million people, first posted about trading before directing users to a Pump.fun profile named cutekjenner. A second post included a ticker and Solana contract address.
The posts drew about 50,000 and 33,000 views before deletion. SolanaFloor described the account as “likely compromised,” while other community accounts also flagged the sudden change in tone.
GeckoTerminal data cited by BeInCrypto showed the token reaching a $1.19 million market capitalization on PumpSwap before falling to about $378,500 at press time. It recorded $6.1 million in 24-hour volume, roughly $58,900 in liquidity and about 3,700 holders.
Imitators appeared quickly. One rival Kylie-themed token reached a $1.04 million market cap on $6.72 million in volume, while others ranged from about $29,800 to $370,300 and were less than seven hours old.
Solana Hack Pattern
The episode shows how a large social media audience can create instant liquidity for an unverified token before users can establish whether a promotion is authentic. The reported hack has not been independently confirmed.
That distinction matters because market activity moved faster than any formal explanation from Jenner or X, leaving traders to rely on deleted posts, on-chain activity and community warnings.
SolanaFloor’s assessment was based on the suspicious promotion rather than a public confirmation from the account owner.
Similar account takeovers have recently promoted short-lived meme coins. Attackers used SpaceX and Starlink accounts in July to push a token that netted around $125,000, while Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev’s compromised account was tied to roughly $1.2 million through another token.
The pattern predates the Jenner incident. Sen. Cynthia Lummis’ compromised account later promoted a fake token, while actor Dean Norris disowned a coin promoted through his account in Jan. 2025.
