However, two large addresses continue to add and stake tokens. Separately, Arkham tracks a leveraged long, while analyst George maps lower targets after price fails at resistance.
Hyperliquid Crypto ETF Flows Reverse Lower
HYPE token trading ranges from $80.34 to $86.99 daily. Price moved from above $86 toward the lower boundary during the session. At the latest reading, the token sits only $0.49 above its daily low. Across the full range, the session’s intraday price spread measured $6.65.
Beyond the daily move, HYPE has declined 1.9% over seven days. Its 14-day performance shows a separate 1.8% decrease. Nevertheless, the 30-day timeframe retains a 45.7% gain.
Meanwhile, Hyperliquid crypto ETF data shows HYPE spot products posted $5.29 million in net outflows on September 9. That withdrawal followed $12.96 million in outflows on September 8.
The earlier result represents the largest negative daily flow displayed in the supplied table. Combined withdrawals across both sessions reached approximately $18.25 million. The September 9, 2026, withdrawal was $7.67 million smaller than the previous session’s total.
Even with those redemptions, cumulative net inflows stood at $338.33 million on September 9. Total ETF assets totaled $464.29 million. Daily trading volume also reached $31.01 million.
Before the two-session reversal, the products recorded a $10.52 million inflow on September 4. Earlier sessions saw $24.42 million in inflows on August 27 and $14.71 million on August 26. As a result, the negative readings followed a period of mostly positive flows in the displayed data.
Whales Expand Hyperliquid Crypto Holdings
While funds recorded withdrawals, whale address 0x8e48 bought another 116,427 HYPE worth $9.91 million. The transaction occurred six hours before the reported update. Over eight months, the whale acquired 1.89 million HYPE tokens valued at $159 million through Galaxy Digital. It staked the full accumulated holding.
Separately, address 0x6436 purchased another 308,569 HYPE, worth $26 million, on the reported day. That acquisition increased the whale’s total to 4.05 million tokens valued at $322 million. It also staked the entire position. Together, their latest transactions added 424,996 HYPE, carrying a combined reported value of approximately $35.91 million.
Alongside those holdings, Arkham identifies trader NMTD8 as long $16.46 million of HYPE on Hyperliquid. The trade uses 10x leverage and carries a $62.52 entry price. HYPE later advanced 33% to $83.13, leaving the position with a reported $4.09 million gain.
Moreover, Arkham places NMTD8’s total account value at $11.34 million. Its figures show $1.71 million in unrealized gains and losses across the entire portfolio.
HYPE Price Tests George’s Downside Levels
Turning to the technical setup, George’s chart shows HYPE retreating after failing to hold above $86-$87. That band now acts as near-term resistance. The displayed HYPE price stands near $84 and signals further downside if sellers maintain control.
Within that trade, George reports taking a profit on half of his position. He moves the remaining portion into what he calls a risk-free setup. Meanwhile, his next stated downside target sits below $81.
Extending that path, the chart marks broader support between $77 and $78. However, a recovery above approximately $86.80 would weaken the bearish setup. A move toward $89 would then challenge the higher resistance area shown in the analysis.
Notably, George’s charted price of $84 differs from the supplied CoinGecko reading of $80.83. That CoinGecko figure places Hyperliquid crypto below his first target area.
