Vitalik says AI-driven hacking will not break cybersecurity

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said he does not agree with predictions that advances in AI will cause cybersecurity to collapse.

Buterin stressed that if AI can prove complex mathematical problems, software security can also be verified mathematically. He said AI could be used to verify entire programs, making software far more resistant to attacks, and added that Ethereum will be developed in that direction over the coming years. For the future of blockchains with scalability and privacy, Buterin said software security itself must be strengthened.
