TransparentBusiness, which operates Unicoin, has sued Uniswap Labs in a trademark dispute and is seeking cancellation of UNI’s U.S. trademark registration, Cointelegraph reported.
In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Unicoin asked the court for a declaratory judgment that its UNICOIN trademark does not infringe on or dilute Uniswap’s UNI, UNISWAP, or UNICHAIN marks. It also requested that the court cancel the U.S. trademark registration for UNI.
Uniswap had earlier demanded that use of trademarks containing UNI, including UNICOIN, be halted and that the unicoin.com and unicoin.org domains be transferred, according to the report.
