Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission has finalized a crypto travel rule that will require digital asset businesses to verify sender and recipient information, according to Crypto Briefing.
Under the rule, all digital asset operators in Thailand must collect, transmit, and verify information tied to cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals. The regulation will take effect on Feb. 27, 2027, giving the industry about 18 months to prepare.
