Strive CEO Matt Cole said on X that as the long-term decline in currency value continues, scarce assets including BTC will likely keep rising faster against the dollar.
Cole said gold’s average annual price gain came to 9.0% since 1970, 9.5% since the global financial crisis and 18.3% since the COVID-19 pandemic, all above U.S. broad money supply M2 growth of 6.7%, 6.3% and 6.5% over the same periods. He argued BTC is digital gold and a better store of value than gold, adding that as the market matures, BTC is likely to post stronger price gains than gold. Cole added that as the debt crisis deepens, the relative performance of scarce assets could accelerate, making a strategy of minimizing dollar exposure and maintaining a long BTC position advantageous.
