South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Prabang has temporarily suspended services after a hacking incident caused about 100 million won ($72,000) in losses, Yonhap reported.
Prabang said a security breach caused by unauthorized external access occurred on Oct. 26, and the exchange reported the case to relevant authorities while investigating the cause and scale of the incident. Yonhap said Prabang had identified abnormal withdrawals from the exchange’s hot wallet on Oct. 24 and, during a full inspection under an emergency response system, found a security vulnerability. A personal data leak also occurred at Prabang in mid-October.
