Shanghai authorities have announced measures to promote the city’s high-level opening-up and facilitate cross-border data flows, according to Odaily.
As part of the plan, Shanghai will deepen development of the national blockchain network, or Shanghai Hub, and strengthen core technologies including decentralized digital identity, privacy computing, and cross-chain services. The city also plans to support facilities for cross-border data transfer services, explore cross-border data service models based on mutual recognition of rules, and back the construction of international data centers to support the computing power service industry and related cross-border digital services.
