Cross-chain protocol Router Protocol said it will fully shut down its service on Sept. 30 after more than four years of operations.
The project cited weakening Web3 liquidity, a shift in capital toward AI, lower fees for cross-chain infrastructure, and high operating costs as reasons for the shutdown. It also plans to permanently burn 303,333,198 ROUTE held by the foundation and work with centralized exchanges to pursue the delisting of ROUTE trading pairs. Users need to withdraw assets based on each exchange’s schedule.
