The U.S. Defense Department ordered U.S. Central Command several days ago to complete all preparations for a possible resumption of large-scale military operations against Iran, Axios reported, citing U.S. officials. The directive did not include a specific start date for any attack, and President Donald Trump has not made a final decision.
According to the outlet, U.S. and Israeli sources said military operations could resume before the U.S. midterm elections and possibly before the Israeli elections scheduled a week earlier.
