According to Ether.fi, the liquid restaking protocol behind ETHFI, Nonce Capital has applied its conservative de-risking policy, dubbed ‘bunker mode,’ across its entire portfolio, including the Ether.fi Liquid vaults it has operated since early October. The policy centers on a preference for isolated markets using a single collateral asset, minimizing smart contracts and protocols between vaults and underlying assets, favoring off-chain or allowlist-based assets with controlled issuance and redemption, and holding only positions whose yields can be independently verified.
Nonce Capital said it began shifting positions before the Binance hack on Oct. 30, which it cited as the main reason it avoided losses. The firm plans to resume more active strategies once risk-adjusted returns become attractive again.
