Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR) and Metaplanet (TYO: 3350) are expected to be removed from the MSCI Global Investable Market Indexes starting in December after MSCI decided to adopt new criteria limiting index inclusion for non-operating companies.
MSCI announced the criteria will be applied in its regular index review in November, with the changes taking effect after the market close on Nov. 30. In a list of securities potentially affected by the changes released by MSCI, Strategy and Metaplanet were marked as candidates for exclusion.
