Kalshi product development staffer IcoBeast.eth pushed back on claims that the prediction market platform had inflated its cryptocurrency trading volume.
Earlier, Shaira AI co-founder Benoit Dubosson pointed to ETH perpetual futures data showing 24-hour volume at about 174 times open interest, while the top ranked open position was only $17,598. In response, IcoBeast.eth said the Artemis chart reflected prediction-market volume share rather than perpetual futures, and said Kalshi does not offer rebates in that market. On perpetual futures, IcoBeast.eth added Kalshi does not arbitrarily choose its self-clearing members, or SCMs, and said liquidity incentives are a standard exchange practice.
