Hyperliquid said a future network upgrade will introduce a HIP-3 feature allowing deployers of HIP-3 perpetual futures markets to grant some operational authority to other addresses.
Once HIP-3 is enabled, deployers will be able to add other addresses to an on-chain permissions list they manage directly and assign them certain functions, Hyperliquid said. Existing HIP-3 markets will remain unchanged. The initial version is now available on the testnet, and detailed specifications may change based on feedback.
Hyperliquid said the feature would allow each deployer to set operational permissions in line with its own requirements, including regulatory needs, while continuing to retain control over and responsibility for the markets it deployed.
