Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission plans to introduce a new licensing regime for digital assets soon, while also strengthening oversight of digital asset custody, market supervision and anti-money laundering capabilities.
Over the medium to long term, the regulator also plans to establish a regulatory framework for real-world assets including tokenized gold, as well as tokenized investment products.
