An Ethereum whale address beginning with 0x6C67, which bought 100,000 ETH at $0.311 each during Ethereum’s 2015 ICO, deposited 1,500 ETH worth $3.45 million to an exchange, according to EmberCN.
EmberCN said the address sold 50,000 ETH in 2016 at $5.47 each for a 17-fold return, then held the remaining 50,000 ETH for 11 years before transferring funds to an external address for the first time today. The amount sent to the exchange was part of those holdings. Exchange deposits are typically interpreted as a sign of intent to sell.
