ETH has outpaced BTC in U.S. spot ETF inflows relative to market capitalization, according to Real Vision crypto market analyst Jamie Coutts.
In a post on X, Coutts said a comparison based only on dollar-denominated net ETF inflows can make BTC appear stronger because of its larger market cap. Measured instead by dividing daily net ETF inflows by each day’s market capitalization, ETH’s inflow intensity over the past month was 0.55%, about 2.4 times BTC’s 0.23%, Coutts said. Over the past three months, ETH stood at 0.41% while BTC was -0.12%, and over six months the figures were 0.38% and -0.015%, respectively. Coutts argued institutions and investment advisers are increasing ETH allocations not merely on expectations of price gains, but on the tokenization theme.
