Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao, better known as CZ, said Chinese-rooted crypto exchange CoinEx’s recently announced shutdown differs from past exchange collapse cases, according to U.Today. Zhao pointed to CoinEx’s guarantee that users can withdraw their assets, and said some exchanges that closed during the recent crypto downturn at least allowed users to withdraw funds, unlike QuadrigaCX, a Canadian crypto exchange that went bankrupt in 2019 and left customer funds trapped.
