Crypto.com and prediction market Novig filed a lawsuit in federal court against the U.S. state of Missouri over its crackdown on sports prediction markets, The Block reported. The two exchanges argued the Commodity Futures Trading Commission has jurisdiction over prediction markets, making Missouri’s enforcement action inappropriate. Missouri had earlier sent cease-and-desist letters to the two exchanges as well as Kalshi, Polymarket, Robinhood and Underdog, while the other platforms have not yet taken legal action.
