Stablecoin issuer Circle said it plans to gradually end support for its legacy USDC cross-chain transfer protocol, CCTP V1. Starting Oct. 31, Circle will progressively lower USDC transfer limits, and it plans to stop operating the related contracts from Dec. 1, according to Circle. Apps, wallets and bridge services using the protocol will therefore need to migrate to CCTP V2. Support for USDC and CCTP V1 on the Noble network is scheduled to end on Jan. 12 under a separate timetable.
