Cardano ecosystem developer Intersect has released a proposal for the 2027 Cardano Ecosystem Budget Process, CryptoSlate reported.
Under the proposal, three bodies — Intersect, PRAGMA and the Cardano Foundation — would oversee six budget categories and help set grant review criteria and budget plans. The proposal would also allow those bodies to apply directly for grants, while delegated representatives, or DReps, would retain final approval over grant payments and budget allocations.
It also envisions an “Open Contributions” track through which anyone could seek support directly from DReps without a separate oversight body. Specific budget allocations and conflict-of-interest safeguards, however, have not yet been finalized. The process is scheduled for a pilot run in 2027 pending DRep approval, and Intersect tentatively plans to submit the full budget proposal on Nov. 10.
