Bitcoin has risen an average of 53.7% in the year following U.S. midterm elections, CoinDesk reported, based on an analysis of the three most recent midterm cycles excluding 2010.
Over the same period, the S&P 500 has gained an average of 15.17% in the year after midterm elections since 1950, above the 7.30% average rise in other years. CoinDesk analyzed Bitcoin’s post-midterm gains as possibly being tied more to its four-year halving cycle than to political factors. This year’s U.S. midterm elections will be held on Nov. 3.
