Binance CEO Richard Teng warned on X about fake cryptocurrency payment scams, saying token names and logos can be copied but legitimacy cannot. Teng said scammers use counterfeit tokens to make payments appear legitimate, even though the assets cannot actually be sold or withdrawn, and stressed that anyone accepting crypto as payment should verify the network and contract address.
