Real Vision crypto market analyst Jamie Coutts said the cryptocurrency market has likely already passed the major bottom of a new upcycle. Coutts said crypto has already gone through a correction this year, so new investment demand is unlikely to weaken easily even if the macro environment deteriorates, while warning that macro uncertainty still warrants caution. He pointed to the MOVE Index, a gauge of U.S. Treasury market volatility, climbing back above 100, along with accelerating increases in real interest rates, widening high-yield bond spreads and a flattening yield curve. Coutts added that any further declines in risk assets could be used as an opportunity to increase portfolio exposure.
