Hundreds of thousands of corporate and foreigner accounts are registered on South Korean virtual asset exchanges, but only a tiny fraction are actively used, according to the Seoul Economic Daily.
As of the end of last month, the five major South Korean virtual asset exchanges had a combined 6,590 registered corporate accounts and 566,352 foreigner accounts, the report said. Actual usage was limited. Among general corporate accounts, only 29 were active last month, meaning they were used at least once for trading, swaps, staking, or virtual asset deposits and withdrawals. Of those, 22 were accounts at Dunamu.
