Ethereum fell roughly 2% on August 25, keeping the risk of a deeper pullback in place after its strong recent advance. At the same time, ETF flows and fresh large-scale ETH purchases suggest that demand from major market participants is gradually returning.
According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded $179.8 million in net inflows on August 25, extending their positive streak to seven consecutive trading sessions.
Another signal came from BitMine, chaired by Tom Lee. According to Arkham, a new address believed to be linked to the company purchased another 20,000 ETH worth roughly $48.89 million. BitMine has not officially confirmed the transaction, but it would be consistent with the company’s broader accumulation trend.
ETH risks a pullback toward $2,200 as RSI stays overbought
ETH fell roughly 2% on August 25. The risk of a short-term correction was discussed earlier, leaving the base case of a decline toward the nearest support around $2,200 intact.
The RSI (14) remains in overbought territory, adding another argument in favor of further downside following the recent sharp rally.
A decisive break above $2,550 would invalidate this scenario. In that case, buyers could regain control of the short-term trend, with the $2,600–2,700 area becoming the next target.
AI rotation talk grows as Nvidia earnings approach
Market attention today will be focused on Nvidia’s earnings report after the U.S. close. Crypto trading could remain relatively subdued intraday ahead of the release, but volatility may increase sharply afterward as broader risk sentiment adjusts to the results.
At the same time, a narrative is emerging around a gradual rotation of capital from the overheated AI trade into cryptocurrencies. It is still too early to call this a sustained structural shift, although the recent strength in crypto assets alongside pressure on semiconductor stocks has made the idea increasingly visible.
