Crypto proprietary trading firm Drift Fund has launched what it describes as the industry’s firstSpot Fundedtrading accounts, offering traders access to funded spot-market trading with real asset exposure instead of leveraged derivatives.
The launch marks a notable shift within the proprietary trading sector, where funded trading programs have traditionally focused almost exclusively on leveraged futures and CFD-style products. By introducing spot-funded accounts, Drift Fund aims to serve traders who prefer buying and holding actual crypto assets without the use of leverage.
According to the company, the new offering was developed in response to growing demand from traders seeking funded capital while avoiding the risks associated with leveraged positions. The platform will continue offering futures-funded accounts alongside its new spot product, giving users the option to trade both market types under a single ecosystem.
Drift Fund’s funding programs include 1-Step, 2-Step, and Instant Funded challenges. Successful traders can access funded accounts of up to$300,000, receive profit splits of up to90%, and request crypto payouts that the company says are processed within 24 hours. The platform also operates entirely through a browser-based trading terminal, eliminating the need for software downloads or external broker connections.
The company states that participants can trade approximately267 cryptocurrency pairs, as well as selected metals, equities, and indices. Evaluation rules include a 10% profit target, a 4% daily drawdown limit, a 6% maximum drawdown, and a minimum trading period of five days. Funded traders also receive a QR-verified funding certificate confirming their account status.
Drift Fund says it is targeting a global audience and currently operates in both English and Arabic, with a particular focus on traders across the Middle East and North Africa. The company believes that its browser-based infrastructure can make funded trading more accessible by reducing some of the barriers faced by traders in these regions. This approach may help users in markets where access to traditional brokerage services remains limited, allowing them to explore trading opportunities through a more accessible online platform.

Drift Fund describes is the launch as an effort to broaden the range of funded trading models available to crypto traders, expanding beyond the industry’s long-standing focus on the leveraged products. By introducing spot-funded accounts alongside its existing futures offerings, the company aims to provide traders with greater flexibility in choosing how they participate in the crypto market.
