Crypto market’s weekly winners and losers – PONS, ARB, PUMP, CC

Crypto kicked off September with a volatile week.

Bitcoin briefly reclaimed $80k before pulling back toward the $77k range. ETF flows remained key market drivers, while FUD around U.S. jobs data, inflation, and Fed policy kept volatility elevated.

Meanwhile, altcoins delivered a more mixed performance, with Ripple [XRP], Solana [SOL], and several smaller tokens showing strength. Robinhood Chain also became a major talking point after its activity and fee generation surged, fueling sharp rallies across tokens such as $PONS and $ARB.

    Weekly winners

Pons [$PONS] shows triple-digit price gains

Pons [$PONS] headed this week’s gainers chart with a powerful 192% rally, driving its highest wick to $0.97 and a new all-time high. Interestingly, the chart itself shouts out the strong FOMO-driven momentum.

$PONS’s rally this week follows last week’s record-breaking 400%+ surge, which highlights the bulls’ powerful presence and the confidence they have in the coin despite the token’s huge jump. Moreover, while $PONS is clearly overheated, there are currently no signs of strong bearish control.

As the chart below highlights, $PONS’s daily chart showcases back-to-back green candlesticks, with each session posting a new higher high, which suggests that buyers are dominating the market and the selling pressure has yet to disrupt the overall uptrend.

With such a scenario in place, the move towards $1 seems more than possible.

And with FOMO already in effect, breaking above resistance this week could bring in additional buyers ready to purchase this week and keep $PONS as one of the top gainers next week.

Arbitrum [$ARB] pushes holders back into profit zone

Arbitrum [$ARB] saw a strong 140% gain, just a notch below $PONS’ triple-digit surge. However, unlike the recent price-action of $PONS, technical indicators for $ARB fail to point to a consistently bullish scenario

On the weekly chart, $ARB is currently eyeing the critical $0.20 resistance it has failed to overcome since Q1. Meanwhile, the weekly triple-digit breakout has seen HODLers comfortably back into the profit zone.

Yet, with the RSI already on the brink of overbought territory, $ARB may well see a corrective wave before attempting to break the resistance once again.Should that be the case, $ARB can be expected to see a bearish reversal ahead of the next round of FOMO-fueled gains.

Dash [$DASH] approaches a key resistance zone

Dash [$DASH] was able to occupy the third place on this week’s list of top gainers after registering a 65% increase. Importantly, this week’s bull run is observed following last week’s correction, which implies that bears are currently on the ropes.

Hence, With $DASH approaching the crucial $70-$80 zone for the first time since early Q1, it is still unclear if the price will have another prolonged breakout. However, RSI is still far from the overbought area, as a result of which further upside momentum is possible.

Thus, if a clean breakout and a sustained price above this level occur , it could provide even more bullish energy for the price action in the upper range. On the other hand, a rejection could prompt the bears to take profits off the table, putting $DASH in a volatile position.

    Other weekly winners

Outside the majors, altcoin movers also stood out this week.

PAIR [PAIR] led the action with a 1,602% move, followed by Giggle Mascot [MAX] surging 620%, while STONK [STONK] gained 410%, rounding out the list of biggest movers.

    Weekly losers

    Pump.fun [$PUMP] bulls aren’t buying the dip

Pump.fun [$PUMP] remained the biggest loser this week, with an 11%+ correction. Of note, the weekly bearish impulse follows up on last week’s 15% drawdown, which also indicates that bulls are not rushing to buy the dip after $PUMP’s 95% weekly rebound in mid-August.

From a technical standpoint, $PUMP has already erased almost 30% of the gains in just two weeks, which suggests that the bears are exerting considerable pressure near $0.004. The next pressing question is whether this is a healthy reset phase to shed weak hands or the beginning of a broader correction.

The daily chart shows that $PUMP is range-bound, which means that bulls have not completely abandoned the long trade. Instead, the lateral movement may hint at some early accumulation as the weak hands exit and the buyers remain in wait for the next bullish signal.

    Source: TradingView ($PUMP/$USDT)

If this scenario plays out, a breakout above the resistance should not be ruled out. With $PUMP’s impressive Q3 performance to date, the case for the bulls remains compelling, and the recent correction looks more like a healthy consolidation than a bearish reversal.

A clean breakout above $0.004 could then put $0.005 back in focus.

Official Trump [$TRUMP] reaches major inflection point

Official Trump [$TRUMP] was the second-biggest loser this week with a 10% correction. Notably, like $PUMP, $TRUMP’s pullback comes after its massive 85% rally in mid-August, pointing to the start of profit-taking.

However, since March, $TRUMP has formed its first higher low, indicating bulls’ entry. If the consolidation holds around the $2.50 level during the coming days, it will be the first bullish sign for $TRUMP in Q3.

RSI is also in the neutral zone, unlocking the room for further upside if buyers take control. If $TRUMP holds $2.50 and breaks out of its consolidation, the recent pullback could be a base for the next leg higher.

Canton [CC] sees a classic post-resistance breakdown

Canton [CC] claimed the third position on the weekly losers’ chart, having corrected by 5%. In this case, CC’s decline is weaker than in the two bearish peers. However, the chart structure is more bearish for the Chinese cryptocurrency, as there is also a sign of a potential divergence.

On the weekly chart, CC has declined by more than 10% over the last two weeks after rallying by 28% from the mid-August low. Besides, the RSI indicator is currently approaching the oversold area. This means that CC may continue to fall to the next level before bulls decide to buy the dips.

Under this scenario, CC will break below $0.10 and erase the 28% gain recorded from mid-August.

    Other weekly losers

In the broader market, downside volatility hit hard.

Cysic [CYS] led the losers with a 68% drop, followed by Magma Finance [MAGMA] falling 51%, and Collector Cryst [CARDS] slipping 46% as momentum sharply cooled.

    Conclusion

This week was a rollercoaster. Big pumps, sharp dips, and nonstop action. As always, stay sharp, do your own research, and trade smart.

    Final Summary

    • Pons [$PONS], Arbitrum [$ARB], Dash [$DASH] led the week in gains.

    • Pump.fun [$PUMP], Official Trump [$TRUMP], Canton [CC] saw significant declines.
