based cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase announced it has decided to suspend trading for Badger DAO (BADGER) and Storj (STORJ) following its latest review of listing standards
According to a statement from Coinbase, BADGER and STORJ trading will be suspended on September 28, 2026, at approximately 9:00 PM Turkish time. This decision will also affect Simple and Advanced Trade services on Coinbase, as well as Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime, the platform for institutional investors.
The exchange stated that it regularly reviews crypto assets traded on its platform for compliance with listing standards and, following recent assessments, decided to suspend trading in two <a href="https://xpertsstudio.com/vet-altcoin-price-potential-faces-its-biggest-test-above-0-00813/” title=”VET altcoin price potential faces its biggest test above $0.00813″>altcoins. According to Coinbase’s official help page, delisting decisions can be made for various reasons, including changes in the project, assets failing to meet review standards, or the project ceasing operations. However, the exchange did not specify a clear reason for the delisting decision.
Prior to the delisting, Coinbase switched the BADGER and STORJ order books to “limit only” mode. During this phase, investors can only place limit orders or cancel existing limit orders. Transactions can continue to be executed if a suitable counter order is found.
What is Badger DAO (BADGER)?
Badger DAO operates as a decentralized project focused on increasing the use of Bitcoin in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. The project describes itself as a decentralized structure composed of community-driven developers who support Bitcoin’s growth within DeFi.
The ecosystem’s native token, BADGER, is used in various DeFi protocols connected to the Badger DAO, primarily for governance. Storj is among the blockchain-based projects developing a decentralized and distributed cloud storage infrastructure. The network aims to store users’ data by distributing it across different storage nodes instead of keeping it in a single central data center.
In Storj’s infrastructure, files are encrypted, fragmented, and distributed to different storage nodes on the global network. The project also offers S3 compliance as an alternative to traditional cloud storage services. The STORJ token is used for payments between storage services and network participants as part of the network’s economic structure.
