Charles Hoskinson said Cardano(ADA) can overcome mounting criticism and could achieve a working technical integration with Ethereum(ETH) within months.

Cardano Pushback
During a recent interview on The Breakdown with David Gokhshtein, Hoskinson <a href="https://bein<a href="https://xpertsstudio.com/can-the-taxman-trace-who-sent-the-crypto/” title=”Can the Taxman Trace Who Sent the Crypto?”>crypto.com/hoskinson-cardano-critics-ethereum-collaboration/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>rejected claims Cardano is losing relevance after steep price declines, governance disputes and difficulties at some ecosystem projects. “Don’t bet against me, we’re gonna win this fight,” he said.
The criticism has included a sharp assessment from Lorenzo Valente of ARK Invest, who argued that continued conference invitations, sponsorships and podcast attention for Cardano showed why the crypto industry “struggles for credibility.” “No serious industry keeps rewarding irrelevance like this,” Valente wrote.
ADA gained roughly 26% over the past week giving Hoskinson a stronger market backdrop for his defense. He also pointed to Ouroboros Leios, designed to raise transaction-processing capacity, and Hydra, a Layer-2 initiative focused on faster and more efficient transactions
Ethereum Collaboration
Hoskinson also backed deeper engineering cooperation between Cardano and Ethereum after years of rivalry, saying Ethereum developers could examine Cardano’s UTXO-based approach to transactions and smart contracts. He framed the proposal as technical rather than financial.
“This is a natural easy academic and engineering collaboration which requires no transfer of money, no apologies,” Hoskinson said, adding that both development teams would need to choose to work together.
Such cooperation could give Cardano technology broader exposure while improving links with Ethereum, which Hoskinson said would benefit both ecosystems.
A working integration would also test whether Cardano’s architecture can contribute useful features outside its own network rather than relying mainly on ADA’s market performance.
Hoskinson has previously said he wants ADA to become the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. That long-term ambition now sits alongside a 26% weekly rebound after sharp declines from earlier highs, while governance disputes and ecosystem-project struggles continue to shape criticism.
