Can Solana Hold $105? A Closing Validator Vote May Decide

Solana Price Reclaims $105 After Seven Months

The token <a href="https://cryptopotato.com/solana-sol-rockets-to-7-month-high-bitcoin-btc-taps-80k-again-market-watch/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>surged roughly 7% during Thursday’s session, making it the strongest performer among the large-cap digital assets. Data from Coinglass showed about $14.6 billion in Solana futures changing hands over 24 hours, against roughly $1.7 billion on spot venues, with $22.6 million in leveraged positions liquidated. Open interest held near $6.5 billion.

The wider market moved with it. Bitcoin(BTC) returned to $80,000 after slipping under $78,000 a day earlier, Ether(ETH) reclaimed $2,550 and XRP(XRP) recovered toward $1.45, lifting the combined value of the market to about $2.78 trillion.

ETF Inflows Stretch To Seven Sessions

United States spot Solana funds took in $9.14 million on Aug. 26, extending their run of positive sessions to seven.

Morgan Stanley’s MSOL product accounted for $5.51 million of that with the remainder spread thinly across the other issuers on the list. Cumulative net inflows now stand near $1.26 billion, or about 2.2% of the token’s market value

That streak began Aug. 18 and peaked on Aug. 24, when the funds pulled in $33.5 million in their biggest single day of 2026 and set a record for daily turnover across the group. Bitwise‘s BSOL has absorbed roughly 80% of all money entering the category since it launched last October, a concentration that leaves the sector leaning on one issuer.

Anton Kharitonov, an expert at Traders Union, attributed the advance to technical momentum layered on governance activity, and set his base case at consolidation between $95.80 and $112.21 rather than an immediate break higher.

The rally caps a punishing stretch for holders. SOL opened Aug. 20 at $85.37 after trading near $75 the week before, then ran past $102 by Aug. 25 before profit-taking dragged it back under $98 on Wednesday. Even after a weekly gain of about 35%, the token sits more than 60% below the record high it set in January 2025.
