Blackrock Leads $236M Bitcoin ETF Exit as XRP Funds Gain $14M

    Key Takeaways

    • Bitcoin ETFs lost $236.46M on Tuesday, led by Blackrock IBIT’s $201.18M outflow.
    • Ether ETFs posted a 12th straight inflow day, while XRP and solana funds also gained capital.
    • ETF flows now point to more selective crypto risk-taking as investors rotate beyond bitcoin.

Blackrock and Fidelity Lead Bitcoin Outflows

The day’s exchange-traded funds (ETF) tape carried a clear message: investors were selective.

Bitcoin products absorbed the heaviest pressure, led by Blackrock’s IBIT, which recorded a $201.18 million outflow. Fidelity’s FBTC followed with $43.67 million in withdrawals.

Bitwise’s BITB managed to attract $8.38 million, but that was not enough to counter the broader selling. Total bitcoin ETF trading value reached $2.69 billion, while net assets slipped to $97.12 billion.

The reversal adds another layer of uncertainty for traders watching the bitcoin price, especially as ETF demand remains one of the market’s most closely followed institutional signals.

Jay Dilks noted that investors who bought IBIT at launch have still outperformed the S&P 500 ETF VOO by about 29%. Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas also highlighted IBIT’s relative strength since inception, while pointing to the much sharper volatility that came with those returns.

Ether Extends Its Streak as XRP Demand Holds Firm

Ether ETFs added $10.95 million, stretching their inflow run to a 12th session.

Blackrock’s ETHB led the group with $11.20 million in fresh money. Fidelity’s FETH added $4.81 million, while Morgan Stanley’s MSSE took in $2.34 million. Grayscale’s ETHE saw a $7.40 million outflow, trimming the day’s overall gain.

Trading value across ether ETFs reached $791.51 million. Net assets finished at $15.21 billion.

XRP ETFs also saw steady demand, bringing in $14.38 million with no reported outflows. Franklin’s XRPZ led with $6.63 million, followed by Grayscale’s GXRP at $4.72 million and Canary’s XRPC at $3.03 million.

Total XRP ETF trading value stood at $39.21 million, while net assets closed at $1.44 billion. The flows may offer another useful signal for investors tracking XRP’s price.

Solana and Hype Funds Add to Broader Crypto Inflows

Solana ETFs drew $10.19 million on Tuesday. Bitwise’s BSOL accounted for $6.17 million, while Fidelity’s FSOL added $2.67 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSOL brought in another $1.36 million. Solana ETF trading value reached $68.55 million, with net assets closing at $1.39 billion.

HYPE ETFs also finished positive. Grayscale’s HYPG received the entire $1.76 million inflow, while total trading value came in at $34.22 million. Net assets ended the session at $455.33 million.

The broader picture remains mixed. Bitcoin funds faced a sharp pullback, while several other crypto ETF categories continued to attract capital, pointing to a market where investors are still willing to take risk, but with greater precision.
