Key Elements

Bitcoin (BTC) traded around $79,100, gaining 0.7% for the week. The price remained confined to a range between $77,300 and $81,300, continuing a directionless pattern following the sharp rally in late August. According to Glassnode’s weekly report “BTC Market Pulse: Week 37” published on the 8th, capital inflows into the market, ETF demand, and futures market leverage are all increasing, but spot buying momentum is decelerating, leaving bullish and bearish factors in a standoff.
Net inflows into U.S. Bitcoin ETFs accelerated to $681.2 million (approximately ¥100 billion). While call demand has taken the lead and upside positioning is strengthening, the spot market has yet to see an aggressive shift to buying.
The spot momentum index fell 30% week-over-week to 54.6, returning to near the midpoint of its statistical band. Spot trading volume was roughly flat at $5.3 billion (approximately ¥810 billion). Spot CVD (cumulative volume delta) narrowed from negative $84.9 million to negative $29.6 million, indicating that selling pressure is gradually easing.
Glassnode noted on X (formerly Twitter) that Bitcoin maintained levels around $79,100 to $78,000 throughout the week. Volatility-related indicators also remain deeply in negative territory, with the firm analyzing that bullish catalysts and cautionary signals are locked in a tug-of-war.
