Binance recorded its largest single-day USDC net inflow in 174 days on August 24, receiving over $470 million, according to CryptoQuant data. The deposit marked the exchange’s highest positive netflow since March 3 and coincided with Bitcoin’s largest weekly gain since 2021, with the cryptocurrency advancing roughly 23% and climbing above $80,000 to a three-month high. US spot Bitcoin ETFs posted their strongest week of inflows in ten months, attracting approximately $1.92 billion between August 17 and August 21, with all five trading sessions registering positive flows. Analysts emphasized that exchange stablecoin balances and ETF flows represent separate liquidity channels and cannot be combined into a single capital-flow measure. The parallel strengthening of both indicators highlighted improving liquidity conditions during Bitcoin’s rally, with market participants now watching whether ETF demand persists and how traders deploy the newly deposited USDC.

Binance recorded its largest single-day net inflow of USD Coin in 174 days, receiving more than $470 million on August 24, as Bitcoin trading activity and liquidity surged across multiple channels. The deposit coincided with the strongest week of inflows into US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in ten months, with both indicators reinforcing Bitcoin’s upward momentum above $80,000.
According to data from blockchain analytics firm CryptoQuant, the $470 million net USDC inflow marked the exchange’s highest positive netflow since March 3, breaking a nearly six-month streak of lower inflows. CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha reported the figure, noting that stablecoin inflows like USDC increase available liquidity for trading, indicating more capital ready to be deployed into crypto markets.
However, analysts emphasized that a single net deposit does not necessarily reveal how or when traders will use these funds to purchase cryptocurrencies or other assets. The significant USDC influx coincided with Bitcoin’s largest weekly gain since 2021. Between August 15 and August 21, Bitcoin advanced by around 23% and subsequently climbed over the $80,000 mark, touching the highest level seen in the previous three months. Bitcoin then reached a three-month high on August 25.
CryptoQuant observed that although Binance’s stablecoin balances and ETF flows both rose during the same period, each reflects distinct flow measure. Still, both the surge in spot Bitcoin ETF inflows and the sizable Binance USDC deposits marked a period of improving liquidity conditions, which accompanied Bitcoin’s price rally
ETF Inflows Reach Highest Level Since October 2025
US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $1.92 billion in net inflows during their most robust week since October 2025, based on data from Farside Investors. CryptoQuant’s figures also showed that the seven-day average of net ETF flows reached 3,820 BTC on August 21, the highest since early January.
Throughout the five trading sessions between August 17 and August 21, all sessions registered positive net inflows. The total amounted to approximately 26,700 BTC for the week, underscoring renewed interest from regulated investment channels.
| Metric | Value | Period |
|---|---|---|
| Binance USDC net inflow | +$470 million | August 24, 2026 |
| US spot BTC ETF weekly net inflow | ~$1.92 billion / 26,700 BTC | August 17-21, 2026 |
| 7-day average ETF net flow | 3,820 BTC | August 21, 2026 |
| Bitcoin weekly gain | ~23% | Week ending August 21, 2026 |
Note: ETF figures from Farside Investors and CryptoQuant; USDC inflow data from CryptoQuant.
Binance’s USDC inflow followed the ETF surge by three days, suggesting that both centralized exchange activity and regulated product flows contributed to a favorable liquidity environment as Bitcoin’s recovery accelerated. The ETF activity preceded Binance’s large USDC deposit, and together the readings showed increased liquidity across regulated products and exchange-based stablecoin balances.
Despite their parallel movements, CryptoQuant emphasized that exchange stablecoin balances and ETF flows originate from separate pools of capital. ETF purchases do not represent the same capital as USDC deposited on Binance, and investors should not interpret these as a combined measure of total market inflow.
Outlook: Key Indicators Diverge as Bitcoin’s Advance Continues
The persistence of strong ETF demand and inflows of stablecoins like USDC will likely influence Bitcoin’s next moves. Whether these indicators remain elevated will depend on investor sentiment and how traders deploy the newly available liquidity.
CryptoQuant analysts noted that separate tracking of ETF and exchange-based activity is essential for understanding market structure, especially during rapid price advances. Both measures continued to strengthen while Bitcoin reached a new short-term peak. According to the firm, the next market development depends on whether ETF demand continues and how traders deploy the newly deposited USDC.
While both ETF activity and exchange stablecoin deposits provide insight into Bitcoin market health, they reflect different strategies andidity cycles. Market participants now closely monitor further ETF inflows and stablecoin movements, watching for signs that the upward momentum in Bitcoin and broader crypto markets will continue
