Crypto exchange Binance has added options trading on more than 1,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to its platform, giving non-US users another tool to access American equity markets.
The product went live on Sept. 1 and sits alongside Binance’s existing lineup of stocks, tokenized securities, and equity-linkedperpetual futures.
All options trades flow through Nest Trading Limited, Binance’s broker-dealer regulated by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Nest routes orders to Alpaca Securities LLC, a US-registered self-clearing broker-dealer and FINRA member that handles execution, clearing, settlement, and custody. The structure mirrors the one Binance already uses for stock and ETF trading, which launched in June 2026 and covers more than 7,000 US-listed securities.
Physically Settled Contracts and Fee Structure
Unlike cash-settled derivatives, these options are physically settled. A user who exercises a contract receives or delivers the actual underlying shares, which Alpaca holds in custody on their behalf. Exercise requests must reach the platform no later than 30 minutes before a contract expires. Retail users who qualify for options trading can buy calls and puts, with their maximum loss limited to the premium paid upfront. Fees are charged primarily inUSD Coin (USDC), withBNB,Tether (USDT), World Liberty Financial USD (USD1), and United Stables (U) also accepted subject to availability. The product is not available to US-based users.
Binance said users in emerging markets accounted for more than 80% of direct stock trading volume during the first week after the June equities launch. The exchange also offers bStocks, its tokenized securities product, alongside the new options and equity-linked perpetuals. Binance’s Head of Exchange and Trading Shunyet Jan said the goal is to give users access to tools that were previously only available through traditional brokers, all from within a single Binance account.

TradFi Derivatives Volume Climbs 15x in 2026
The timing of the launch reflects a sharp rise in demand for traditional finance products on the platform. Total TradFiperpetual futures volume on Binance reached approximately $433.4 billion in August 2026, up from $29.5 billion in January, a roughly 15-fold increase in eight months. Equity-linked perpetuals made up about 79% of that total, generating $342.9 billion in August compared with $410.9 million in January, growth of more than 800 times over the same period.
Other crypto exchanges have moved in a similar direction. Bybit is set to launch 24/7 options on stock perpetuals on Sept. 17, starting with contracts tied to SpaceX and Nvidia. Those contracts settle in USDT and are linked to stock perpetuals rather than underlying shares, a structurally different product from Binance’s physically settled options. Binance said it plans to expand the list of eligible stocks and ETFs over time.
“By adding options on selected US stocks and ETFs, we are expanding the tools available to users who want to participate in equity markets, manage exposure, and access strategies that have historically been offered through traditional brokers, all from one Binance account,” Jan said.
