Binance submitted its Binance Brazil crypto license application to the country’s central bank on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, ahead of the Friday, Oct. 30 deadline for existing providers to seek authorization. The filing comes as the exchange restricts services and delists 22 crypto assets for Brazilian users; submitting an application does not constitute regulatory approval.

The exchange submitted the application through its local entity, BBrasil, according to a Binance statement shared with Cointelegraph. Binance is seeking authorization as a cryptocurrency service provider to maintain operations in Brazil through the regulatory transition.
Existing providers must submit their applications by Friday, Oct. 30, to continue operating under transitional arrangements. The immediate requirement is getting an application to the Central Bank of Brazil. Authorization is a separate decision.
For customers, Friday is a deadline for their provider’s filing—not a customer action deadline or a promised date for the central bank to grant a license.
Brazilian Users Face Restrictions and 22 Delistings
Binance announced changes effective Tuesday, Oct. 27, that include restrictions on crypto lending, margin trading and other services for Brazilian users. The changes narrow the products customers can access while the company pursues authorization.
The exchange is also delisting 22 crypto assets locally. The product restrictions and removals mean Binance’s effort to preserve its Brazilian business comes with a reduced offering for customers in the country.
Affected users lose access to specific products: lending and margin trading are among the services facing restrictions even as Binance seeks to keep its broader operation running.
Product Restoration Tied to Central Bank Talks
Thiago Sarandy, Binance’s general manager in Brazil, said the company supports a regulated market that takes the characteristics of virtual assets into account. He linked the prospect of bringing back discontinued products to ongoing discussions with the central bank.
In the statement accompanying the filing news, Sarandy said, “we hope that the ongoing dialogue with the Central Bank will allow us to offer, in the near future, other products that were discontinued to comply with current regulations.”
Binance said the filing would allow Brazilian customers to continue accessing crypto assets, stablecoin trading, payments and investment services. That is the company’s stated continuity plan as it enters the authorization process.
Which Binance entity submitted the Brazilian application?
BBrasil, Binance’s local entity, made the submission on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026. Binance is pursuing its cryptocurrency service provider authorization through that entity.
Which authority is handling Binance’s license application?
The Central Bank of Brazil is handling the application. Its Oct. 30 submission requirement applies to existing crypto service providers seeking to operate under transitional arrangements.
Which services are affected by the changes effective Oct. 27?
The announced changes cover crypto lending, margin trading and other services for Brazilian accounts. Binance is also removing 22 assets from its local offering, a separate part of the changes affecting customers in Brazil.
Which services does Binance say Brazilian users can continue accessing?
Binance identifies crypto assets, stablecoin trading, payments and investment services as the areas its application supports. The company made that commitment while seeking to maintain its Brazilian operations through the transition.
What does Thiago Sarandy say could allow discontinued products to return?
Sarandy points to continued dialogue with the central bank as the route toward restoring products withdrawn for regulatory compliance. His statement expresses an ambition to offer them again “in the near future,” rather than a scheduled relaunch.
