Arbitrum’s ARB surged to about $0.197 on Sept. 6, up roughly 127% from its Aug. 30 low and lifting market cap above $1.3B as Robinhood Chain adoption drove record activity including $3.75M in daily fees and over $1.5B of DEX volume on Sept. 1. ArbitrumDAO reported H1 income of $6.19M with $360K in July licensing fees (35% of July income), providing revenue support, but an upcoming 92.65M ARB unlock (~$18.2M at current prices), rising leverage (futures OI ~$308M and 24h futures volume ~$2.15B) and Robinhood Chain operational and regulatory risks could pressure token performance and DeFi adoption.
See what traders are focused on
Arbitrum is staging one of the crypto market’s sharpest September rallies, with ARB more than doubling from its late-August lows as traders reprice the economic value of Robinhood’s fast-growing blockchain.
ARB traded near $0.197 on Sept. 6, up roughly 49% over 24 hours and about 127% from its Aug. 30 level The move has lifted Arbitrum’s market capitalization above $1.3 billion while trading activity has accelerated sharply
The catalyst is increasingly clear: Robinhood Chain.
The network, which launched on Arbitrum technology on July 1, generated record activity around the start of September, including $3.75 million in user fees and more than $1.5 billion of DEX volume in one day
But ARB’s next test may come from its own token supply.
Robinhood Gives Arbitrum Something L2 Tokens Often Lack: Revenue
Robinhood Chain is especially important because Arbitrum has a direct licensing relationship with chains built on its technology.
Under the Arbitrum Expansion Program, chains such as Robinhood Chain that settle outside Arbitrum One return 10% of net protocol revenue to the Arbitrum ecosystem. Official Arbitrum documentation says 8% goes to the ArbitrumDAO treasury and 2% to the Arbitrum Developer Guild.
That distinction is important.
The millions of dollars reported recently as Robinhood Chain “app revenue” or user fees do not automatically equal millions of dollars flowing to ARB holders or the DAO. Arbitrum’s actual first-half income was $6.19 million, while Expansion Program licensing fees contributed about $360,000 in July, or 35% of DAO income that month.
That still represents a significant change in Arbitrum’s investment narrative. We recently examined how Robinhood Chain revenue has accelerated, while earlier coverage tracked the chain’s rapid Ethereum and liquidity growth.
| Metric | Latest figure | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Robinhood Chain daily fees | $3.75M | Record single-day fees on Sept. 1, showing rapidly accelerating on-chain activity. |
| Robinhood Chain DEX volume | $1.5B+ | Daily decentralized-exchange volume reached a record above $1.5 billion. |
| ArbitrumDAO H1 2026 income | $6.19M | Income came from transaction fees, Timeboost, licensing and treasury returns. |
| Robinhood Chain July licensing income | $360K | Equal to about 35% of ArbitrumDAO’s July income, highlighting the new licensing model’s importance. |
| ARB price, Aug. 30 | $0.0844 | Marks the base of the latest breakout. |
| ARB price, Sept. 6 | ~$0.195 | ARB climbed roughly 131% from Aug. 30 as Robinhood Chain momentum attracted traders. |
92.6M ARB Unlock Arrives After the Rally
The timing of the rally creates another issue.
DefiLlama currently lists an upcoming release of roughly 92.65 million ARB, largely allocated to team members and investors. At ARB’s current price near $0.197, that amount is worth approximately $18.2 million.
That new supply is arriving just as leverage is expanding.
CoinGlass shows ARB futures open interest around $308 million, with approximately $2.15 billion in 24-hour futures volume as ARB trades near $0.197.
Robinhood Chain itself is also attracting attention beyond pure crypto trading. Its tokenized-stock push has expanded rapidly, though a recent AMC token controversy and an earlier network interruption show that the young network still carries operational and regulatory risks.
ARB’s 120% recovery therefore has real fundamental support, but the next phase will test whether Robinhood-driven demand can absorb both rising leverage and fresh token supply.
