QuickChain, a Nigeria-focused <a href="https://xpertsstudio.com/crisis-at-a-<a href="https://xpertsstudio.com/why-did-the-clarity-act-fail-and-will-crypto-prices-crash-further/” title=”Why Did the CLARITY Act Fail and Will Crypto Prices Crash Further?”>cryptocurrency-exchange-developers-opened-positions-before-token-listings/” title=”Crisis at a Cryptocurrency Exchange—Developers Opened Positions Before Token Listings”>cryptocurrency platform, has been added to Monierate, a currency-data and rate-comparison platform that tracks exchange rates across more than 90 providers.

The addition gives users another crypto-to-naira provider to compare alongside platforms already tracked by Monierate, including Binance, Bybit, Luno and Quidax. Monierate says its data infrastructure provides live rates, historical data and other market information across the providers it tracks.

QuickChain is primarily positioned around the conversion of digital assets into naira. Its platform allows users to sell cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Litecoin, Dogecoin, USDC, TRON and XRP, with proceeds credited to a naira wallet or withdrawn to a Nigerian bank account.

The platform also offers a virtual dollar card and other services, while its website says users retain control of their cryptocurrency rather than having QuickChain hold the assets in custody.

For Nigerian users receiving cryptocurrency as payment, the ability to compare the rate offered by different platforms can be significant. A freelancer paid in USDT, for example, may receive different naira proceeds depending on where the asset is converted. The difference becomes more material as transaction values increase.

Monierate’s Quickchain page currently tracks USD/NGN, USDT/NGN and USDC/NGN rates and records changes in the quoted prices over time. The platform cautions that additional network, swap or transfer charges imposed by individual providers may not be reflected in the displayed rate.

That distinction is important because a displayed exchange rate does not necessarily represent the final amount a user will receive after all applicable charges.

The QuickChain listing comes as Nigeria’s digital-asset and cross-border payments market continues to develop around a mixture of cryptocurrency exchanges, stablecoin platforms, remittance services and specialised off-ramp providers.

For users, one challenge is that there is no single rate across these services. Prices can vary according to liquidity, market conditions, transaction structure and whether a provider is quoting a buy, sell or mid-market rate.

Monierate’s model is therefore less about determining which provider is superior and more about putting rates from different providers into a comparable view. Its website describes its infrastructure as covering more than 90 providers and markets, including cryptocurrency exchanges and other currency services.

The company has been building around this comparison model for several years. Monierate’s founder, Jeremy Ikwuje, wrote in 2023 that the platform was created to compare dollar rates across exchanges in Nigeria.

Ikwuje has described the broader objective as addressing the difficulty of finding a consolidated view of prices across African markets.

“Markets like Africa don’t lack rates : they lack a single, trustworthy view of them,” Ikwuje said in a note sharedre actually trading at, in real time, across relevant providers.”

He compared the ambition with the role Bloomberg plays in global financial markets, saying Monierate was building a similar reference layer for rates that traditional market terminals may not cover.

For QuickChain, the listing puts its quoted rates alongside those of other providers rather than presenting them in isolation.

This could be particularly relevant to freelancers, remote workers and businesses that receive cryptocurrency or stablecoins and eventually need to settle those funds in naira. QuickChain’s own platform identifies these groups among its intended users and provides crypto-to-naira conversion as a core function.

QuickChain has also previously received coverage in Vanguard. A March 2026 report described the platform as a crypto-to-naira service offering conversion of Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum and other digital assets. Some of the claims in that report, including user numbers and fee-related assertions, were promotional claims and are not independently established here.

The company’s current website similarly makes claims about transaction speed and pricing, including saying that most transactions settle within two to five minutes. Those claims are attributable to QuickChain rather than independently verified performance figures.

The significance of the Monierate listing, therefore, is not that it establishes QuickChain as the cheapest or fastest provider. Rather, it gives users another rate to consider within a broader comparison of Nigeria’s fragmented currency and digital-asset market.

As more providers are incorporated into comparison platforms, consumers have more information with which to assess the cost of converting foreign currencies or digital assets into naira before completing a transaction.

Monierate’s own data also illustrates why that comparison can matter: its platform displays different rates across providers at the same point in time rather than treating the market as having one universal dollar-to-naira price.
